@rose @halva the best camera i had on a smartphone, judging by how well it did without any magic filtering added by the vendor or OS, was on the xperia x. the xperia 10 II has 3 rear cameras and i appreciate the different focal lengths but they’re all worse, and the vendor driver takes FOREVER to initialize them (sometimes 10 seconds, it’s barely usable)
dynamic range and color reproduction were all much better on the xperia x. the newer phone can’t get close to it even if i take photos in 10-bit DNG and postprocess them manually with rawtherapee
