this premium quality chinesium vacuum pump works fine but despite its metal chassis has no electrical ground... also sometimes it fails to start and then it'll just sit there and suffer. i'm glad i have a foot switch for it, though originally i got that for hygiene reasons (aseptic technique etc.)
also the schuko plug it came with immediately lost a pin. i have no idea how they could screw up manufacturing a connector designed to be virtually indestructible but i put something a little more durable on it
