the thing about this oven is, the manufacturer swapped out the control panel with something cheaper than the original spec. it still has PID temperature control but it can't compensate for the non-linear temperature sensor. it only has an offset. so i'm monitoring with a known-good thermocouple and adjusting the offset so it at least maintains the target temperature (which it does once it's reached)
also it came with a chinese power plug that looked 30 years old, and a schuko adapter. so i replaced that one with a proper plug as well because i'm not going to use a deathdapter in my compounding lab
