@mia@shrimptest.0x0.stmpv’s display-sync mode, which works by slightly changing playback speed to minimize fluctuations in the number of display refreshes per video frame, can cause this effect too when there’s a lot of vsync jitter. but it has thresholds and limits to prevent it from causing such obvious distortions
